The mommy makeover procedure is typically undertaken as elective surgery for cosmetic improvement, which means that you will need to pay for its costs out-of-pocket. This is a customizable procedure, and the costs may vary significantly between patients. To make an informed choice, you should discuss the costs involved in detail during the pre-operative consultation.
Various financing alternatives will be available to you to pay for this cosmetic surgery procedure in easy monthly installments. With financing support, the cost is not a prohibitive factor for many women seeking to regain their pre-pregnancy bodies through the mommy makeover procedure.
plastic surgeon Dr. David Kim provides mommy makeover surgery to patients in Beverly Hills, Los Angeles, CA, and surrounding locations.
During the pre-operative consultation, your surgeon will assess your unique aesthetic and anatomical needs and then recommend a suitable combination of procedures to be included in your mommy makeover surgery plan. The overall cost also depends on the procedures that form a part of your individualized mommy makeover.
While some patients need only minor surgical correction in the breasts or tummy area, others require more significant enhancement in many areas such as the butt, thighs, abdomen, breasts, and upper arms. The procedure costs in every case will depend on the complexity and extent of the surgery involved.
Today many women choose to add minimally invasive or non-invasive cosmetic body contouring or skin resurfacing procedures involving laser, radio frequency, ultrasound, cooling techniques, or injections along with their mommy makeover plastic surgery procedure. Each individual procedure’s cost will add to the total costs of your mommy makeover.
Your upfront costs of a mommy makeover costs will possibly be higher than the cost of an individual cosmetic surgery procedure. However, a mommy makeover will have a better cost-effectiveness. The reason is that in mommy makeover procedures, costs associated with surgery such as surgical venue expenses, anesthesia costs, surgeon’s fee, and recovery related costs are incurred only one time.
In a combined procedure such as a mommy makeover, you will undergo the recovery process only once. Therefore, the overall recovery time will be reduced and the post-operative expenses will be reduced in comparison to a situation where you undergo separate surgical procedures at different times.
The cost of the mommy makeover surgery will be affected by some key factors such as the practice location, surgical venue costs, anesthesia costs, and post-op expenses. The costs of the procedure will likely be higher in busy metropolitan cities and prime urban centers in comparison to small, interior towns.
The fee charged by your surgeon will depend on their experience, qualifications, and reputation in the field of aesthetic surgery. The mommy makeover procedure can be performed at an accredited surgery center or a hospital, and the costs and benefits will vary in each case.
You may consider financing your mommy makeover through third-party medical care financing companies. These firms offer patients competitive rates of interest, faster loan approvals, and convenient monthly installments for elective surgery procedures such as a mommy makeover.

Mommy Makeover Before And After Photos
Mommy makeover is one of the most comprehensive cosmetic surgery procedures designed to restore your pre-pregnancy figure and make you look youthful and attractive. Your surgeon will inform you about all aspects of the surgery at the time of your pre-operative consultation to help you make a well-considered choice.
To enable you to make the right decision and to explain how effective this surgery may be, your surgeon may present mommy makeover before and after photographs at the first meeting. plastic surgeon Dr. David Kim provides mommy makeover surgery to patients in Beverly Hills, Los Angeles, CA, and surrounding communities.
See Plastic Surgery Before & After Photos
Mommy makeover ‘before and after photos’ refer to a set of pictures pertaining to past patients who have achieved excellent outcomes from this procedure. The ‘after’ images will be taken at a stage when the post-surgical inflammation and bruising have been resolved, and full results of the mommy makeover are established.
The surgeon will obtain these photographs with the patient’s express consent and show them to new patients in an appropriate and discreet manner. The identity of the patient could be kept undisclosed in accordance with the standard protocol.
The surgeon’s sole purpose of sharing these images with new patients is to help them form realistic expectations and make their own decision about choosing mommy makeover plastic surgery. In this particular case – Dr. Kim does not have specific images to a mommy makeover yet on the website. Now this does not mean these types of images cannot be uploaded at any time though.
Many patients find it more beneficial if ‘before and after’ pictures are presented along with an accompanying text describing in brief the procedure, why it was undertaken, and how it resolved the patient’s concerns.
These concise descriptions will enable new patients to understand a past patient’s mommy makeover journey. People will always connect better with pictures, and the descriptive stories accompanying the images will enable them to understand the facts more accurately.
A plastic surgeon may decide to share mommy makeover before and after images in the following ways to increase awareness about the advantages of this comprehensive procedure:
The surgeon may share digital versions of the mommy makeover ‘before and after’ pictures on their website and display them on popular social sites such as Instagram as well. Prospective patients can view these images online before they choose to go ahead with a consultation with the surgeon.
Slideshows are an excellent way to present before and after photos. The surgeon can create interest of the patients in the mommy makeover procedure by using Instagram Stories and other creative features. The surgeon or their promotional team can build a dedicated Instagram account with a mommy makeover theme to achieve this goal.

Breast lift with augmentation is a safe and proven cosmetic surgery procedure to correct your sagging and deflated breasts through a combined tissue lifting and implant placement. After your surgery, you will need to go through a recovery process for a few days. A strong recovery is vital to achieving desirable and sustainable results from your surgery.
plastic surgeon Dr. David Kim provides breast lift with implants surgery to patients in Beverly Hills, Los Angeles, CA, and surrounding communities.
You will experience mild pain and soreness in your incision areas after the effects of general anesthesia wear off. For the first few days, you can take pain medications as prescribed by your surgeon. Bruising and swelling will appear more pronounced in the first week, but will begin to subside from the second week.
You should perform short walks and light activities at home in the first week. This will help ensure that the blood flow to the incision sites is maintained and healing is faster. Around the mid or end of second week, you should have recovered enough to return to your normal routine or go back to your job.
Avoid sleeping on your abdomen or sides for the first two to three weeks after your breast augmentation with lift plastic surgery. Do not bend or lift heavy weights or perform any activities that put excess strain on your chest.
Avoid showering or bathing in the first one or two days after your procedure, and ask your surgeon when they would recommend you to resume normal bathing routine. Raising your hands to wash hair in the first few days may be difficult, but your condition will improve rapidly from the second week.
Treat your incision areas with extra care in the first few weeks to ensure your wounds heal well and the subsequent scarring is minimized. Make sure the surgical dressings applied to the incision sites remain clean and dry. In a few days, your surgeon will replace the dressings with a special surgical bra for extra support to your tissue.
Protect incisions against direct sun exposure for several weeks or months. Avoid smoking throughout the recovery phase to ensure that your healing is healthy and scarring is under control. Talk to your surgeon about any topical scar reduction products they may recommend.
You can resume your regular fitness and exercise regimen in about four to six weeks once your surgeon gives you the go-ahead for it. You may also consider massage therapy in the breast area from a trained therapist if your surgeon advises.
Even after four to six weeks, you may continue to avoid strenuous sports activities that put more strain on the chest (such as golf or tennis) for some more time. Long-term focus on a healthy diet and regular exercise will help improve the longevity of your results of breast implants with lift surgery.

Breast implants are not meant to last forever. The FDA says that most women who undergo breast augmentation cosmetic surgery may require a revision procedure at some point in the future.
However, it is impossible to predict the exact timeline. In 2011, an FDA study found that only about one in five women with breast implants would need a removal or removal within the first 10 years of her primary surgery.
This is encouraging data, particularly because it pertains to about a decade ago. The quality of implants and surgical techniques have dramatically improved over these years, and now the chances are that implant failure rates would have gone down further.
You can safely expect that for a vast majority of patients, breast implants will last without any complication for at least 15 to 20 years or more. plastic surgeon Dr. David Kim provides cosmetic and reconstructive procedures for the breast, body, and face to patients in Beverly Hills, Los Angeles, CA, and surrounding locations.
The key to longevity of your breast augmentation plastic surgery results is the skill and experience of the surgeon who performed the primary procedure. However, in the long run, complications such as implant rupture or capsular contracture could still manifest itself. These will have to be corrected through breast implant removal or exchange surgery.
At some point in the future, you might end up choosing to have your breast implants removed or replaced purely for aesthetic reasons. You might have a need for smaller or larger sized implants to fit your changed figure in the future.
Weight fluctuations, pregnancy and aging effects could also affect your breast appearance at some point, and you may want to have your implants removed or replaced, or undergo a breast lift to restore a more youthful shape.
If your saline breast implant is ruptured, it will deflate quickly, and the changes to your breast shape will become noticeable. If a silicone gel implant is ruptured, you may not even come to know about it until you have an MRI. In any case, once the rupture is diagnosed, you will need an implant removal or replacement plastic surgery.
The natural scar tissue that develops around your implant may sometimes start becoming harder without any known reason. This will cause your implant to contract and you may feel tightness and pain in the breast. In most cases, this will require you to undergo a breast implant removal or exchange procedure.
At some point, you may feel that your breasts appear asymmetrical. In some cases, the implant may shift from its position or become deformed, causing a visible distortion to the breast appearance. Implant rippling may occur in some cases, which will show on the surface of your breast skin. In all these situations, you may need to have your implants removed or replaced.

Breast implant rupture and capsular contracture are two different medical complications that could necessitate a breast implant removal plastic surgery. An experienced surgeon will first determine the cause of the implant failure, and then prepare a customized surgical plan for implant removal or replacement.
plastic surgeon Dr. David Kim provides cosmetic and reconstructive procedures for the breast, body and face to patients in Beverly Hills, Los Angeles, CA, and surrounding communities.
You may be a candidate for breast implant removal surgery for one of the following reasons:
Depending on how your primary breast augmentation cosmetic surgery was performed, your surgeon may be able to use the same incision site for your implant removal. This will minimize additional scarring. But if you have chosen different sized implants to replace your old implants, a new incision may have to be created.
In most cases, the incision will be placed underneath the breast crease or around the areola border to keep the scarring as discreet as possible.
Breast implant removal surgery is usually an outpatient procedure, which will take about one to three hours, depending on the situation. You will probably require general anesthesia, which means the procedure must be performed at an accredited surgery center.
It is best to have a family member or friend accompany you for surgery, and they can also drive you back safely after the procedure and post-op monitoring is completed. The surgeon will perform the procedure according to the customized surgical plan discussed with you at the time of pre-surgery consultations.
In many cases, the surgeon may decide to remove the implants along with the capsular scar tissue that envelopes the implant. If your skin has become stretched and the breasts tend to sag after years of implantation, your implant removal may be combined with a breast lift cosmetic surgery to restore the firmer and lifted appearance of the breasts.
In a few cases, your surgeon may perform a specialized breast implant removal procedure called en bloc capsulectomy. In this case, the implant will be removed while it is still contained with the scar tissue capsule. The complete capsule will be carefully excised from your breast pocket with the implant intact inside it.
The surgeon may have to decide on en bloc capsulectomy only after the incisions are placed and they are able to examine the condition of the capsular tissue and the breast pocket. You will have to discuss this possibility in advance at the time of your initial consultation.
Recovery in case of breast implant removal is similar to that of your primary breast augmentation surgery. Most women are able to go back to their normal routine in one to two weeks. Breast implant exchange or removal cosmetic surgery is performed on women who are unhappy with the outcomes of their original breast augmentation or those who have suffered implant damage due to some reason. However, a growing number of younger women are also now choosing this procedure for cosmetic reasons to downsize or upgrade their breast implants.
Whatever be the reason, a breast implant exchange or removal surgery can restore and enhance natural breast appearance and patient comfort, as long as it is performed by a skilled surgeon. plastic surgeon Dr. David Kim provides breast implant exchange and removal to patients in Beverly Hills, Los Angeles, CA, and surrounding locations.
For women who experience implant related complications, such as implant rupture, shifting, asymmetry, leakage, or capsular contracture, a breast implant exchange or removal may be necessary. Other candidates may choose these procedures for cosmetic reasons.
Women who feel their existing breast implants are either over- or under-sized, or who wish to change the type, shape or texture of their implants may also make dependable candidates for breast implant exchange.
In all cases, the patient should be in reasonably good general health in order to sustain the surgery and general anesthesia. She should have realistic expectations and be committed to follow the surgeon’s instructions for pre- and post-operative care.
In case of breast implant exchange or removal plastic surgery, the surgeon will try to utilize the same incisions that were placed at the time of original breast implant surgery. This will minimize new scarring. After the incisions are created, the surgeon will remove the old implants from the breast pocket.
The surrounding scar tissue or the damaged part of the implant may also be removed when a breast implant removal or exchange has been necessitated by complications such as implant rupture or capsular contracture. The breast pocket may have to be revised to accommodate the new implant, which could be of a different size or shape.
After the new implants have been placed and adjusted into position, the surgeon will close the incisions with sutures. If the patient only wants implant removal and not exchange, she may have to undergo another procedure called breast lift at the same time. Breast lift will involve tightening of the sagging breast tissue and repositioning or resizing of areolas to restore more youthful and natural looking breasts.
After the surgery is completely, the surgeon will wrap the incision areas of the breasts in bandages and provide a compression garment or surgical bra to the patient. The surgical bra will allow the new breast shape to be formed with support. Some bruising, swelling and discomfort is expected in the first few days after the breast implant exchange or removal surgery.
Prescription pain medications will help to keep the patient comfortable in the first 4 or 5 days. Most patients are able to return to their normal activities or go back to work in about one to two weeks. Cosmetic surgeon Dr. David Kim receives patients from Beverly Hills, Los Angeles, CA, and nearby areas for breast implant exchange and removal surgery.

Mini facelift or partial facelift is a cosmetic surgery procedure that is ideally suited for people who are bothered about the onset of aging lines and sagging skin in the lower third of the face. The surgeon will using small incisions placed discreetly around the ears to restore a tighter and firmer lower face and more defined chin.
plastic surgeon Dr. David Kim provides mini facelift to patients in Beverly Hills, Los Angeles, CA, and surrounding locations.
If excess fat deposits or sagging skin is causing a poorly defined jaw appearance, you could benefit from a mini facelift surgery. The procedure is designed to remove excess tissue from the lower face area and firm up the remaining tissue. You can achieve a younger looking and more refreshed facial appearance that adds to your natural aesthetics and boosts self-confidence.
You can expect to achieve a number of physical as well as emotional benefits with a mini facelift plastic surgery. The best part is that you can meet your goals with minimal risk, discomfort, and downtime involved.
Minimal Side Effects – Reduced bruising, swelling and tenderness compared to a full traditional facelift.
Minimal Scarring – Incisions are small and can be concealed well within your hairline, behind the ears and in the natural facial contours.
Conservative Surgery and Anesthesia – A mini facelift can be performed much faster than a full facelift, and the surgeon may only use local anesthesia to perform this procedure.
Minimal Risk, Discomfort and Downtime – Unlike a full traditional facelift, a mini facelift poses minimal risk of lasting adverse effects, and the post-surgical recovery is faster and involves minimal discomfort.
Although the procedure is considered “mini,” it can yield substantial results in most cases. The procedure not only involves tightening of skin in the lower face area, it also involves correction of the SMAS (the underlying muscular system) and reduction or redistribution of fatty tissue.
When these tissues are lifted and refined along with the skin, you can achieve improved facial contours. SMAS mini lift produces significantly more natural looking results compared to a cutaneous (skin only) facelift.
The surgeon will begin the procedure by placing incisions in front the ears, which extend from the bottom of the earlobes to your hairline, behind your ear. The pattern and length of the incisions can vary according to the surgical technique used to perform your mini facelift.
Through the incisions, your surgeon will pull the targeted tissue upward and outward toward your ears. This will enable reduction in sagging skin and jowls, and mitigate the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. Once the skin and SMAS reach a position that enhances your facial contours and natural facial bone structure, your surgeon will suture them into place, and trim away excess skin.
Cosmetic surgeon Dr. David Kim receives patients from Beverly Hills, Los Angeles, CA, and nearby areas for mini facelift surgery.

Saline or silicone breast implant removal cosmetic surgery may be an appropriate solution for women who are unhappy with the results of their primary breast augmentation.
If the original breast implant procedure was done improperly, it may be necessary for the patient to undergo breast implant removal. Breast implants may become hardened or displaced due to incorrect placement or pressure from scar tissue.
Correlating with this, the procedure may also be necessary if the implants rupture or deflate due to a defective implant or an injury. In case an infection develops, breast implants may also need to be removed. plastic surgeon Dr. David Kim provides breast implant removal to patients in Beverly Hills, Los Angeles, CA, and surrounding communities.
Before proceeding with the breast implant removal process, the surgeon will evaluate the causes of the implant complications and recommend a course of treatment to the patient. If the patient chooses to have her silicone or saline implants replaced with a different type or size of breast implant, the replacement can be performed as an independent procedure.
If the patient, however, decides to have her implants removed, the surgeon will advise her about options such as breast lift plastic surgery, which can be performed simultaneously with the removal procedure.
The surgeon will likely undertake the procedure using general anesthesia or intravenous sedation. To attain access to the implant, the surgeon will place an incision in one of the following areas:
The incisions involved in breast implant removal are usually the same as the ones made during the original breast augmentation surgery. The surgeon will typically also remove scar tissue as well as the breast implant during this procedure.
The surgeon may deflate the implant before removing it during saline revision surgery to allow easier removal. Once the implant has been removed, the surgeon will remove scar tissue from the previous breast enlargement procedure.
As soon as the original implant is removed, the placement of new implants or breast lift surgery will take place. It takes between 30 to 45 minutes to complete the surgery. Following the procedure, the patient will remain in the hospital for a few hours under observation.
A silicone implant that ruptures may go undetected. Therefore, the surgeon will perform a manual exam to check the implant for any signs of distress or rupture before removing it during silicone revision surgery. This minimizes any risks related to the breast implant procedure.
Implant removal may be more complicated than the primary enhancement procedure, especially when the outer shell is textured or foam covered. Sometimes the adjacent tissue and muscle may also need to be removed in addition to the implant.
During the removal, the patient may also receive a breast implant replacement, breast lift, or scar revision. The time taken to complete the implant removal procedure depends on whether other procedures are being undertaken simultaneously. It usually takes less than one hour to remove silicone breast implants.
Cosmetic surgeon Dr. David Kim receives patients from Beverly Hills, Los Angeles, CA, and nearby areas for breast implant removal.

Getting older takes a toll on a person’s appearance. Diminished collagen and the damage caused by environmental factors and gravity can all cause skin to sag across the face. Beyond the characteristic fine lines and wrinkles that come with age, sagging skin around the eyelids can be an especially noticeable sign that you’re getting older. Luckily, many patients are now opting for blepharoplasty – eyelid surgery – and enjoying natural looking results.
As with any potential surgery, the treatment doesn’t quite end with the actual completion of your surgery. For many patients, there are just as many questions about recovery from eyelid surgery as there are about the procedure itself. At Beverly Hills Plastic Surgery, our goal is to help patients understand all aspects of their procedure from start to finish. To help patients better understand the recovery side of eyelid surgery, we’ve pulled together some of the top questions we get about the procedure and its recovery:
Barring any complications, most eyelid surgeries are conducted as an outpatient procedure from our office in Beverly Hills. As patients are given a mild sedative for the procedure, we require that patients have a family member or friend help them get home after treatment.
While blepharoplasty is a minimally invasive surgery, it is a form of surgery nonetheless. At Beverly Hills Plastic Surgery, we recommend patients stay home for the first three to four days following surgery and avoid highly physical activities like lifting or exercise for the first few weeks following their procedure. We also recommend that you sleep with your head raised on multiple pillows for the first two weeks following your procedure to avoid excess swelling.
As the treatment involved removing excess skin from eyelids, there are incisions required with eyelid surgery. During recovery, the surgical sites may look swollen and bruised and can (quite honestly) a bit scary to see immediately after surgery. However, our plastic surgeons are experts in their field. By using the latest techniques and tools, our doctors minimize scarring along so that any incisions are virtually invisible. Any sutures that are placed are usually removed about a week following your procedure.
To protect the surgical site and reduce the risk of post-op infection, our surgeons ask that patients avoid wearing contacts for at least two weeks after surgery. While you’re welcome to use facial creams or lotions elsewhere on your face, avoid applying anything to your eyes for at least two weeks following treatment.
One of the best benefits of eyelid surgery is how long the treatment lasts. With proper care, patients can enjoy natural looking results permanently without requiring retreatment.
For countless patients, eyelid surgery can be a game-changer for reversing the signs of aging. At Beverly Hills Plastic Surgery, our experienced team is committed to ensuring all patients can enjoy the full benefits of this advanced cosmetic treatment. To learn more about this procedure, call our office and schedule your consultation with our plastic surgeons today!
