Rhinoplasty: Cosmetic Or Reconstructive?

Rhinoplasty: Cosmetic Or Reconstructive?

Posted on June 12, 2017

Plastic surgery comes in two types, reconstructive and cosmetic. The common surgery known as rhinoplastycan actually fall under both types, but in most cases it is actually performed as a cosmetic surgery more often than not. Rhinoplasty is a surgical procedure performed to improve the appearance of the nose.

If you are a patient that is unhappy with the appearance of your nose and/or are looking to have it reshaped in any way so that it will be more aesthetically pleasing, then rhinoplasty is going to be the best procedure for you to correct any abnormalities.

Rhinoplasty is quite intricate in that a lot goes into the procedure itself, and yet it’s still considered a fairly simple surgery. In most cases, depending on the type of surgery that you’re actually having, patients are only in recovery for about a week and can expect a rather small amount of bruising and swelling during that week.

The surgery itself is not a particularly painful which remains to be the reason so many people are opting to have it done. In fact, if you are an avid reader of most celebrity magazines you will notice how many actors, models, and singers are having the rhinoplasty procedure done themselves.

If you have any questions about rhinoplasty and/or the rhinoplasty procedure you can contact a cosmetic surgeon. Dr. Kim is a plastic surgeon providing his expertise to the Beverly Hills area. For more information please visit Beverly Hills Plastic Surgery.
